Ian Fuller from Birmingham, UK, has been keeping and breeding Corydoras (and what we now know as Hoplisoma, Osteogaster, etc.) since 1974! He is probably the best known Callichthyidae enthusiast in the world, ever, and rightfully so. Ian has bred more species of Corydoras & co. than most, been to numerous field trips to their habitats in South America, written some of the best books on the subject (which he will bring to the convention), had a species named after him, done lectures at club events all around the world for years, and started the CW-numbering system (which followed the C-number system which was started and eventually halted by german magazine DATZ), showcasing new discoveries within this fish group. CW of course is short for Corydoras World, Ian’s marvellous website presenting Callichthyidae. Now, we are very thrilled to have Ian attend our convention in Bergen, to honour his countless contributions to our hobby and celebrate his 80th year. Ian has aggreed to do two talks, one on his breeding experiences and one on his adventures to South America.
