Anton Lamboj (the link will tell you a lot more) from Austria is perhaps the best known expert on Cichlids from western and central Africa. He has written several books and articles on this subject, and done a lot of scientific work on the subject as well. Anton is also very much into the subject of Anabantiformes (labyrinth fishes) like Betta and Parosphromenus. He has done countless field trips to tropical parts of the world, and during his visit to Bergen he will do two talks for us: One on collecting in Gabon, western Africa, and one on endangered Betta and Parosphromenus species. We are very thrilled to have him!
